Science, Technology, Society is devoted to examining the interaction between science, technology, society and culture and discussing interesting and important questions, such as:

  • How do social and cultural values influence science and scientific theories?
  • How does the metaphorical thought influence the scientific thought?
  • What is the relationship between technology and the body? 
  • And other questions related to the interaction between Science, Technology and Society.


The site is run by Dr. Shimon Amit.

Dr. Amit holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences (Biology) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Additionally, he holds MA and PhD from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in the development of theories in biology and the connection between science, technology and society.
